1) GRAPHIC DESIGNER

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced freelance creative graphic designer to to join our growing Marketing and Design consultancy for an ongoing position. Flexible working conditions and hours offered either in-house at our Keilor East studio or offsite, for the right applicant. Your work will cover all aspects of the design process from conceptualising and creation, right through to creating finished artwork. 

You will have the opportunity to design for multiple brands, mostly corporate in nature, and demonstrate your creative flair and expertise. Projects will range from branding development, sales and marketing collateral, social media, web graphics and beyond. This role may suit a talented designer already working for themselves who would like additional regular work. Being adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment is also a must, as tight deadlines and turnaround times are common.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop creative concepts for logo identities and branding elements
  • Develop creative concepts and layout for brochures, advertising, packaging, social media and similar
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding artwork queries and proofing through to finished project
  • Support marketing team members with client design requirements
  • Create in-house collateral where needed
  • Design of in-house and client EDMs
  • Work closely with our marketing strategist and creative director
  • Be involved in brainstorming and idea generation sessions relating to design projects
Skills
  • Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign skills using Creative Cloud
  • Good pre-press and print knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills essential (both verbal and written) 
  • Professional
  • Sound understanding of design principles (and when to break them!)
  • Ability to apply the role of ‘play’ and ‘fun’ in their work
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast paced environment and meet daily deadlines with high levels of organisation.
  • Goal and results orientated with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a team player
  • Positive problem solver
  • Mac experienced user
  • Good WordPress web design, development & MailChimp skills (desired though not essential)
Qualifications / Experience (desired, though not essential)
  • Tertiary qualifications in graphic design, web design, marketing communications or similar
  • 2-5 years experience working in a similar role.
  • Experience in B2B and / or corporate design

2) MARKETING EXECUTIVE

An exciting opportunity to join our team as a Marketing Executive. We’re looking for a dedicated professional to manage the creation and implementation of existing client marketing plans, project manage graphic design jobs and business development for mostly warm leads.

The role will offer the right candidate an entrepreneurial environment, where you can utilise your experience and creative abilities to maintain and grow our marketing and design client contracts, with a focus on achieving our client’s and company goals. You need to be a self-starter, highly motivated, resourceful and a problem solver with a “can do” attitude. Being adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment is also a must.

This is a freelance or part-time (2-3 days per week) Melbourne based maternity leave role for nine months with an opportunity to extend!

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create new marketing strategic and / or communication plans, covering all areas of marketing where required and applicable.
  • Manage and undertake the implementation of all strategic and / or communication plans, including copy writing and managing external contractors and submission of monthly logs.
  • Work closely with our marketing strategist and creative director.
  • Maintain and nurture client relationships through regular email and phone contact or in person meetings, where needed.
  • Brief graphic design projects with client and design team, overseeing projects from start to finish including brainstorming and idea generation.
  • Manage incoming phone and email client enquiries, quoting and follow up through to conversion.
  • Contact new or warm prospective graphic design clients.
  • Oversee and manage marketing assistant projects and workload.
Skills
  • Superior and confident communication skills essential (both verbal and written) and strong marketing copy writing skills.
  • Understanding of offline marketing strategies and digital marketing across all social media platforms.
  • Understanding of style and creative principles.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast paced environment and meet daily deadlines with high levels of organisation.
  • Goal and results orientated with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a team player.
  • Positive problem solver.
  • Knowledge of WordPress and Smarterqueue desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent Word and Excel knowledge.
  • Mac experienced user, including Mail desirable, but not essential.
Qualifications / Experience (desired, though not essential)
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, journalism, communications, project or event management or related field.
  • 2-5 years experience working in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in copy writing for sales and marketing activities.
  • Experience in B2B services and/or marketing strategies.
  • Experienced managing team members.
